Mandatory Vaccine Policy

Hi STRA Families,

We are very excited for the season to start. Our first ice time will by Mid September, so look for more information coming on this likely by the middle of next week. By then we will have our final number and our coaches/ice leaders figured out :) We have not been able to finalize this yet as we have been waiting for direction from the Ontario Ringette Association about a possible vaccine policy. We still have not received any correspondence from ORA however, at this time it is irrelevant as the province announced that anyone entering an indoor sporting facility needs to be double vaccinated. Southwest Public Health and the Joe Thornton Community Centre have announced that anyone entering the arena that is eligible for vaccination ( over 12 years of age and no medical exemption) must be double vaccinated and show proof of that.

In summary, if your child or anyone entering the arena, is eligible and has not been double vaccinated, they will not be permitted to enter. Proof of vaccination is also required.

If you are pulling your child from the season for this reason, pls email our registrar, Robyn, at Stthomasringetteregistrar@gmail.com so their registration can be omitted from the season. A full refund will be given if you have paid already.
